She completed a rigorous certification program under Romana Kryzanowska and Chacha Guerrero at Metroplex Pilates and has traveled all over the world teaching Pilates in Greece, Iceland and New Orleans.

Alexandra Bellamy - Yoga

Alexandra has been practicing yoga for about 9 years. Initially, she was drawn to the physical aspect to increase her strength and flexibility, but it wasn't until a few years later that she discovered yoga is more focused on breath awareness and calming the mind. Alexandra's life has been transformed in many ways through her yoga journey, and she believes it can be a powerful tool to dig deep within ourselves and uncover our true nature. Her dedication to her practice led her to complete her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification in 2010 as well as Vinyasa Teacher Training with Seane Corn, an internationally celebrated yoga teacher and activist. Alexandra strives to be a passionate and energetic teacher so she can creatively teach others how to physically and mentally become stronger and heal through yoga poses and philosophy.

Kim Goad - Yoga

I began my yoga journey in a gym in 1999, looking for something more fulfilling than cardio exercise. What I found changed the course of my life. I found peace, opening, strength, and healing. Yoga has been with me through thick and thin, and I plan to be on my mat until the day I lay in final savasana. I began teaching in 2005, and finally earned my 500 RYT in 2009. My passion is sharing the joy that comes when the mind and body are joined by the breath, and the left brain blessedly takes a back seat. I thrive on learning more and sharing the process with those that join me on the mat.

Barbara Milhizer - Yoga

Barbara first discovered yoga in 2000 as a way to stay active during a high risk pregnancy, and she never left. Yoga soon evolved into more than a great fitness routine and became a way of life--reducing stress, renewing the spirit, and refreshing the mind. After years of regular personal practice, Barbara decided to share her passion for yoga with others and earned her 200 hour teacher certification in 2008. She enjoys travel, photography, playing the piano, and spending time with her husband and 2 boys.

Patti Munro - Yoga

Tara Munro Pedersen - Yoga

From an early age Tara has been exploring the connection between mind and body through dance. In 2000, when she ventured into her first yoga class, it became very clear how vastly rich the practice of yoga is in its ability to integrate the body, mind, and spirit. Ever since Tara has been sharing yoga with as many people as she can. In January, 2006, she completed a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification and in January 2008, after completing over 1000 teaching hours, Tara received the distinguished E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) credential. Tara is certified to teach Adaptive Yoga to students with MS and in 2008 received her 500 hr RYT in Yoga Therapy. As an avid student of yoga, Tara has developed an eclectic mix of yoga methods from numerous teachers including Rod Stryker, Beryl Bender Birch, Erich Schiffman, Susi Hately Aldous, Sharon Sannon and David Life, Dharma Mittra, Shiva Rea, and Manorama . Her compassionate, yet disciplined, teaching style is therapeutic and challenging as she emphasizes a cultivation of awareness within each pose she instructs. You'll find her inspiring with her playful spirit and wacky sense of humor, yet patient as she takes time out to personally guide you on your yoga journey. Jackie Smallwood - Yoga

Jackie started her yoga journey in 2008 with a passion for meditation. It lead her to Hatha yoga. Both brought her balance and confidence. She wanted to share her knowledge with others, so she stepped out of the corporate world and into teacher training. In 2009 she earned her 500hr certification with Yoga Alliance. She is passionate in helping her students achieve peace and their full potential in life. She is so happy to be part of the Powerhouse family.

Tami Valentine - Yoga

Tami started her yoga journey in 1998 while looking a for a good way to workout. Little did she know she was going to embrace a journey of a lifetime. Tami enjoys guiding students to empty all their expectations of yoga and teaching them to experience what yoga can offer through pranayama, asanas and meditation. Tami was born and raised in Southern California. She has been teaching since 1999 and is a dedicated practitioner of yoga.
